Coaches

Coach BC is a retired senior military officer who has over 42 years of volleyball experience. Many of those years included playing, coaching, and refereeing while on active duty in the US Air Force. Coach BC has played volleyball in multiple countries around the world and has had the opportunity to coach in adult leagues in Europe and the U.S., including Co-Ed Nationals. He was a certified NCAA Volleyball official who started his reffing career in the Southwest at NAIA, NAGWS and NCAA schools and continued refereeing in Europe. Coach BC has served at Bob Jones Academy for 13 seasons as their head Varsity Coach (Girls and Boys) and JV (Girls and Boys) while winning State Championships with both Girls and Boys teams. In addition, he has spent the last 10 years coaching at Stars Volleyball Club in Spartanburg for 13-18 year groups where he has coached three of his daughters into tough competitors and coaches. Currently, BC has taken on the position of varisty coach at Greer Middle College. BC and his wife Kimberly have 5 children and reside in Dacusville. A fun fact about Coach BC is that he has been deployed or lived in 37 different countries.

BC Christmas

Coach Cara is excited to bring her experience and enthusiasm to the Elevate coaching staff. Cara has been playing and coaching for over 8 years. She graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach, where she played collegiate volleyball as a DS/Libero on a full-ride scholarship through the Honors College. During her time at Virginia Wesleyan, Cara served in a leadership role all four years, earning All-Tournament Team honors as a freshman and All-Conference recognition as a senior.  Currently, Cara is pursuing her MBA at Clemson University and resides in Greenville, SC, for the year. She stays active playing grass, beach, and indoor volleyball and has recently developed a love for pickleball.  A fun fact about Cara is that before volleyball became her passion, she was an ice skater!
